In this video i will show you how to encrypt your HD in Mac OS X, this is important to protect your data.
note: this will protect your home folder which have all your data mostly, what it won't encrypt is the system folder (main HD) and application, which is good because you don't need to encrypt these folders.


1) Go to "System Preferences".

2) then go to the "Security" panel.

3) click "FileVault" tab.

4) Now you will have to set a "Master Password".

Warning: If you lose the "Mater Password", you will not be able to retrieve you data.
