iPhone/iPod touch Help Rules.

If you are starting a thread to ask for help/advice for an Apple device run iPhone OS (iPhone, iPod touch) please be as descriptive as possible so that our members can better help you with your issue. A few general guidelines:

• Indicate what kind of device you have, for example; iPhone 2G/3G/3Gs, or iPod touch Gen 1/Gen 2.
• Indicate what kind of computer and OS you're using.
• Indicate if your device is jailbroken or not, and what firmware you are running on it. You can check this in Settings > General > About (at the top).

Also before posting, make sure your iTunes is fully updated.

One thing to note about iTunes updates and jailbroken devices, is to please check on the Dev-Team's Blog to make sure that it is okay to update to the current version of iTunes before you proceed. Sometimes the updates can interfere with the jailbreak process.

Currently iTunes 8.2.1 is perfectly compatible with jailbreaking.

If you don't do these things we will beat you with a stick. (just kidding)
