Often I have considered saving money and buying a hackintosh but truth of the matter is, I like things to look good. I don't want screws and stickers and lines and bumps everywhere.

Macs suit my rather minimalist style, and they are quality machines running a rather tasty OS. Maybe i'm drinking the cool aid but that sounds nicer than a beefed up hot rod that needs a water cooler to keep it at touchable temperatures in a big plastic glowing case running vista.

Well my PC uses a fan for cooling, is in an aluminium graffiti case from Commodore and happens to look pretty nice. It also gets no hotter than my iMac does under heavy load. It runs windows 7 which is no better or worse than OSX. Its all down to taste, a PC is as nice looking as you make it.

I happen to like Apple computers hence why I have an Xserve, an iMac and a MBP and an old Mac G4. I'm not Apple bashing so why get so defensive? Like it or not Apple stuff is expensive

Sorry Marc I didn't mean to sound deffensive. I was just saying that I don't mind shelling out the extra cash, and getting a computer less often when I can buy one that looks better

And I have been using windows 7, its great but again I would say not on par with OS X...

Then again it could be the cool aid.

    Darn you stevey!

lol no problem. As I've said before, liking windows isn't usually an option but this time around I actually do like win7 it flows nicely and just feels good. It's not to everyones taste for sure but I quite like it, I think when it is released fully and has some decent software it will be on par with OSX, just for different reasons.

yup there are a few advantages that win7 has, particularly with managing copy/paste/cut/move/replace and also with multiple monitors. other then that i dont really see any improvements...
