Default Intel Releases Quad Core i7 Laptop Chips

Intel today has released their latest 45nm Core i7 Mobile Processors - which have been labelled the "fastest laptop chips ever".

There have been three chips released, two 'general' Core i7 Mobile Processors, and one 'Extreme' Core i7 Mobile processors.

Apple is not expected to upgrade and put any of these chips in their current MBPs, they might apparently wait for the 32nm models.

size difference yea, means you can get more capacitors on the chip which means more grunt whilst using less power and less heat. (Y)
