    Default "Light-Peak" Idea By Apple?

It has been rumored that Intel's Light Peak was produced from a specific request by Steve Jobs. Steve confronted Intel chief Paul Otellini about the possible technology.

Light Peak is a new emerging technology that is aimed to take over all current peripheral connections such as USB2.0, USB3.0, all FireWire connections, Ethernet and even some video connectors.

Light Peak operates at 10Gbps and will help to make a smaller foot-print device. If implemented into Macs, they would start to appear around Fall of 2010.

This technology is not expected to be implemented into iPods as current SSDs/HDDs do not even out-perform the current SATA interfaces.

there are so many reasons. The developers have the rights to it, so a company must purchase a license etcetc. Its not in high demand so it cost more, lots of things.

Hopefully intel will market it enough and give us a kick start
