Default HD Section/ Network Setups Section

    Hello all,

I think it would be a good idea to have a section about selecting hard drives for users who wish to upgrade. We could suggest RAID configurations etcetc if they need it..

Also, many users have problems with setting up networks and deciding what to do (wireless vs wired etc). I think it may be a good idea to have a dedicated section for that.

    Great idea.

One of the many things we have been wondering over here is what Forums (or is it subforums) to include.

it will take time to get it all right, need to find the optimum between having good options but also keeping it simple.

And are we gonna do two sub forums for HDD or SSD? I have heard from both sides whether SSD is supported enough to get it's own supported.

thats a great idea! SSDs are trouble enough in themselves so yes a subforum for them is a nice idea.

I need a SSD. The amount of hard drives I have been through is ridiculous. (well 3 actually.)

MTTF for SSDs these days is much better then it used to be, like 2million to 5million cycles which is pretty good, but that will still probably only last you 3 years or so. HDDs for me last much longer then that (generally, provided there are no faults and i dont drop them HAHA)
